Temperature controlCooling and heating zonesThe right temperature for optimal processes. |
We offer cooling or heating media to maintain, heat or cool liquids at a constant temperature. Two different processes are used:
1. endless coil with a defined laminar or turbulent flow
2. double jacket or templates.
A double jacket is welded at certain points distributed over the entire surface. Under high pressure, cushions are formed at the non-welded points, into which coolant is filled.
Cooling zones
Different media can be used to cool the contents of a tank:
1. ice water: Whereas ice water used to run over the tank as trickle cooling, today it is the water in an endless spiral that provides the cooling.
2. glycol: When rapid cooling is required, glycol is often used, which offers a great advantage over water: the freezing point can be extremely lowered without the liquid freezing.
3rd ammonia: This agent is sprayed into the cooling zone in liquefied form, which causes the coolant to relax and attempts to become gaseous again.
The result: Ammonia absorbs cold in large volumes.
Disadvantages of ammonia:
Heating zones
Different media can be used to heat the contents of a tank:
1. hot water:
Hot water is transported in a spiral surrounding the tank. The heat supply is possible until shortly before the degree of evaporation (80 - 90 degrees).
2. Steam:
Steam achieves a higher output than hot water. Water is heated until it evaporates. It is then passed through a coil or template. Although steam has a higher output than water, there are limits here too. The output is 120 - 150 degrees.
3. thermal oil:
Thermal oil can be used to achieve a higher output than steam. The heating temperature to be achieved can reach 250 - 300 degrees. However, these high temperatures must be taken into account when selecting the material, because otherwise material deformation can occur when the heat is high.
4. electric heating:
An electric heating band - similar to an underfloor heating system - heats the tank liquid. Similar to hot water heating, temperatures of around 80 - 90 degrees can also be achieved here.u
